The purpose of the Bear Witness Around the World outreach is very simple... we want to enable the start of conversations about Jesus. All Christians have a God-given desire to share their faith and see others find and follow Christ, but some struggle at just how to do that. The Witness symbols have proven to be an easy conversation starter in that regard. The original Bear Witness has traveled the world, sharing Witness bracelets and the Good News the symbols represent. Once his travel schedule became overwhelming he created Bear's School of Apawstles allowing other Bears to travel and share. Following the natural order of things it has become apparrent that many are willing to share the gospel via the Witness symbols, and we want to make that as easy as possible. With the desire to further expand our reach around the world, we are accepting ministry partners who are comfortable with our strategy and committed to an expanded outreach through their participation.
Whereas the original Bears were most often seen sporting a mohawk hair cut, leather jacket, and from HRC, new Bears can be of any shape, size, or color. He/she may already be on shelf at home. Put the little guy to work! All they need is a Witness bracelet (first one free:) around the neck or arm... and an owner/operator who is willing to speak, and share pictures and/or stories from time to time on social media or back to us in an email. Name your Bear, e.g. Bear Witness, aka fillintheblank.
Owner/Operators are encouraged to take their Bear on roadtrips or anywhere there is an opportunity to start a conversation about Jesus. Do you have a friend going on vacation or a mission trip? Lend your Bear! Remember, every trip is a mission trip for Bear... especially when his "handler" has some Witness bracelets to share.
